I should have added a splash of soy in place of the flavour bomb salt but used everything seasoning instead. It was bland on the night but better the next day when everything had sat.
Yummy though!!
This was ok, I skipped the noodles (because I forgot to buy them) and bulked it out with heaps of broccoli. The filling on its own was really good, I could easily see it being great with the noodles but with all the broccoli it was a bit bland. Great idea, might need a bit more tweaking.
This was DELICIOUS!! I had pre-seasoned white fish, bumped up the edamame and didn’t do the rice, soo good! For leftovers I added a squirt of kewpie and some dukkah, extra yummy!!!
Meant to be Ewan birthday cake but HORRIBLE.
Ridiculous method, cake has to be over mixed in order to wet all batter once apples are in. Further, the effort to do so with a metal spoon, bruises the apples.
If making again, make wet batter then fold in apples.
I also subbed raisins for walnuts and made cream cheese frosting in place of glaze.
I made a version of those with homegrown beetroot from the garden.
I used homemade dukkah in place of the whole nuts and some leftover raspberry vinaigrette although you couldn’t taste it over the dukkah. I also added a can of brown lentils to bulk it out to a whole meal. Yummy.
I made this with leftover Costco chicken, some spicy salsa, a tin of black beans, dollop of cream cheese, tin of corn, topped with shredded, melted cheese. Serve with nacho chips. YUM!! And super easy.
I loved it, Ewan hated it.
I bastardised it pretty well with what I had on hand; Added a leek at the sautee stage, used small diced parsnip in place of beans, added thick cut home made bacon. Used less stock so it’s less brothy for Ewan, he still hated it.
This is pretty dang good for healthy food! I added a pack of Mushrooms at the sautee stage. Didn’t have any pepperoni but it was good just topped with cheese. I did use pasta sauce and it really needs something less vinegary/acidic, next time would just use Tom paste.
This was….weird. It didn’t showcase the tomatoes or the dumplings, they just sort of cancelled each other out and it was quite bland. Granted I only made ⅓ of the chili crisp vinaigrette as I didn’t want to blow our heads off.
Yum! This delicious, especially over potatoes, broccoli and roast chicken.
It absolutely MUST mellow out in the fridge first before use, it’s SUPER pungent when first made. If eating fresh double the cream cheese. Lovely after few days in fridge though and makes a wonderful dinner or snack.
Super bland and meh and taste nothing like Todd’s version. I’m pretty sure he used lamb and it was much more flavorful and seasoned.
I also used uncooked rice and added liquid but it didn’t absorb and was difficult to get cooked through.
Inferno curry. So hot!!! I only did ¾tsp curry powder and it was killer hot, had to douse with huge scoops of full fat yoghurt. I also grated 3 carrots into this that needed using up. Tasty-ish if not so spicy.
This is excellent! I did 50/50 coriander and parsley and completely forgot the oregano. Still delish. Go easy on the chili flakes, they have a hell of a kick after a few days in the fridge.
