Trim and slice the mushrooms evenly to promote consistent cooking. Allow the air fryer to preheat for five minutes before to adding the mushrooms. This contributes to the formation of a delicious caramelized edge and crispy crust. You can run your air fryer empty for five minutes if it doesn’t have a preheat feature. Instead of placing the mushrooms on parchment paper or aluminum foil, place them straight onto the Air fryer basket or tray. Your mushrooms may take longer to cook or may not cook evenly if you pack them too tightly in the basket and don’t allow hot air to flow through them. Because the mushrooms will shrink when they cook, don’t chop them too thin. The thinner portions could burn more quickly or dry out.
