I add 2 tsp honey, use cornstarch slurry basted on before baking (1 tsp with 1-/4 c water cooked) and 1 Tb shortening. Instead of 1/4 c oil. I also use 300 g fed sourdough starter in place of their starter.
I soaked in salted water with vinegar and drained and dried. Dusted with self rising flour. Dipped in coconut milk with hot sauce and fish fry. Then again in self rising flour. Fry.
