Marinara sauce is a staple in our house. We almost always have at least one bottle of it in here. The problem with the store bought marinara sauces is the amount of sugar that are in them, along with some ingredients that you can’t pronounce. In terms of points, it doesn’t mean much. But I do personally love making this marinara sauce ahead of time, so that I can use it anytime I want. And because it’s homemade, I know exactly what is in it.
To me, marinara sauce should only have tomatoes, garlic, basil, and some yummy olive oil. This sauce contains only those ingredients – plus a little bit of salt and pepper to taste. And it is delicious
This Italian classic just got a makeover. For an easy low-carb option, try this lightened up lasagna recipe. It doesn’t take away any of the taste of traditional lasagna, but without all the calories and guilt.
I was trying to think of something really easy to throw together for dinner and I was really in the mood for a cheesy, hearty comfort food casserole – this Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Potato Bake turned out to be just the thing! I started with my recipe for Cheesy Potluck Potatoes and decided to turn it into a main dish by adding chicken and giving it a Buffalo flavored twist. It turned out awesome, it’s so simple to make and it’s also a great way to use up leftover chicken. I suggest pairing this Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Potato Bake with a salad or some roasted vegetables for a tasty, complete meal.
The thing I like most about this salad – besides the flavor of course, is that you can feed a crowd. It’s great for potlucks, picnics, cookouts, and our upcoming holiday celebrations like Memorial Day and 4th of July.

This chicken is so juicy and delicious! I cook this recipe quite often and will never EVER get tired of it. But for a fun twist, I created this mini version using chicken strips that are marinated in a similar buttermilk brine, lightly breaded and baked to a golden brown perfection.
Who doesn’t love chicken strips? These are so good you’ll want to finish the whole thing…at least I almost did! They’re incredibly juicy, yet crisp on the outside. And you won’t feel guilty about it.
This chicken fajita recipe is definitely on my weeknight dinner rotation. The marinated chicken in these popular wraps is mouthwatering. They go together in a snap and always get raves!
