Ingredients

  • Based on Marion Grasby’s recipe, I increased the veg by adding 2 bunches of bok choy from the free veg list.
  • This dish literally takes 5 to 8 minutes to cook once everything has been prepared. So chop and mix everything etc and have them in bowls so you can add them quickly without moving away from the wok.
  • Serves 1
  • 125 to 150g rump steak
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • ⅓ each of red and yellow capsicums (bell peppers), deseeded, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 bunches bok choy copped to bite size pieces
  • Sauce
  • 1 tb oyster sauce
  • 1tb black bean sauce
  • 2 spring onions (scallions), roughly chopped
  • 1 tb Chinese Shaoxing wine
  • subheading: Marinade:
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Chinese Shaoxing wine*
  • ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
  • 1 tb cornflour (cornstarch)
