Great dish served with cooked rice/ oodles/mashed potatoes and a green vegetable or a salad for a fulfilling meal. My kids and wife lived this especially during cool weather. We serve this with the sauce spooned over the side dish and meatball. Great comfort food..

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef or 1 to 1 burger/ground pork
  • ½ cup Minute Rice
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ground Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 15- ounce can tomato soup
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Optional - ½ teaspoon chilli pepper
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, mix meat, rice, ½ cup water, onion, salt, garlic powder, minced garlic, oregano, and pepper. Shape into about 24 to 30 1-½-inch meatballs.
  3. Place in a roasting pan or 9x13 casserole dish that has been sprayed with pan.
  4. In small bowl, mix together tomato soup, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and chili powder, if using. Pour over meatballs, turning meatballs to coat. Cover and bake for 60 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles or mashed potatoes with sauce poured over mix if wanted
Notes
  • I tend to use 2 lbs. of meat 1 of burger lean and one of ground pork or sweet Italian ground sausage
