Ingredients
- 2 ripe Haas avocados or 1 Florida avocado
- juice of one lime (or less to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder, or to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- subheading: Optional ingredients:
- cilantro or culantro, finely chopped (opt)
- 1 tsp cumin (opt)
- dash cayenne (opt)
- 1 jalapeno, stem and seeds removed, minced (add more or less to taste) (opt)
- 1 T Caribbean Cuisine Green Seasoning (opt)
Steps
- Remove avocado from shell carefully into a bowl. I like to use a spoon to get every last bit of the meat from the inside.
- Add rest of ingredients and mash together with a fork.
- Serve immediately, or cover the bowl with plastic wrap (so that the plastic is literally touching the entire top layer of the guacamole) and refrigerate.
Notes
- I do not like adding tomatoes to guacamole because they tend to make it too thin. However, I do love sprinkling diced tomatoes over the top when serving.
