Broiled Salmon
loading...
Servings: 4
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 to 6 thick salmon fillets
- Recipe of choice for sauce/marinade (see notes)
Steps
- Choose a recipe below or another recipe for the sauce.
- Preheat a broiler (toaster oven or regular oven), with a rack 4" from the heat, to 400 and then switch to the broiler function. Preheating the oven will take about 10 minutes.
- Cover a small broiler pan with aluminum foil and lightly oil the pan and fish with olive oil. Season fish with salt and pepper and coat with sauce.
- Broil skin-side down until top surface is well charred and salmon is heated through, about 6 to 8 minutes, using the foil to protect any areas that threaten to burn.
Notes
- Recipes:
- Our favorite: You can use those little packets of condiments you get from fast food restaurants, mayo, mustard, sweet & sour sauce, soy sauce, plum sauce, anything, throw them together and smother on salmon. No need to marinate and really, the more condiments, the better! (We like ketchup, mayo, mustard, soy)

- www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/broiled-sockeye-s... (marinate 30 minutes)
- For a more mediterranean version, try using herbs, olive oil, and perhaps either mustard or yogurt.
