Ingredients
  • 4 to 6 thick salmon fillets
  • Recipe of choice for sauce/marinade (see notes)
Steps
  1. Choose a recipe below or another recipe for the sauce.
  2. Preheat a broiler (toaster oven or regular oven), with a rack 4" from the heat, to 400 and then switch to the broiler function. Preheating the oven will take about 10 minutes.
  3. Cover a small broiler pan with aluminum foil and lightly oil the pan and fish with olive oil. Season fish with salt and pepper and coat with sauce.
  4. Broil skin-side down until top surface is well charred and salmon is heated through, about 6 to 8 minutes, using the foil to protect any areas that threaten to burn.
