Because we are huge geeks, these last weeks my usband and I have been rewatching all the Iron Man novies and we plan to rewatch all the Thor movies too and the Avengers series of course ... just to be ready for he new Avengers coming out end of this month (I am not even mentioning the fact that we are also rewatching the X-Men series because there is a new one coming out on June... let's just ignore that, ok?)
And all this geekiness calls for the right movie night foods and maybe some new recipes: something crispy, crunchy, hat begs to be dipped in ketchup and finally ... there were nion rings! And they were good!
Ingredients

  • White/Yellow Onions, large 2 (weighted about 700 g before peeling)

  • Water 125 g
  • Chickpea Flour 75 g
  • Lemon Juice 30 g
  • Oregano, dried 1 tsp
  • Smoked Paprika 1 tsp
  • Garlic Powder 1 tsp
  • Sea Salt 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper, ground ½ tsp
  • subheading: DRY MIX:
  • Chickpea Breadcrumbs (or any breadcrumbs you like, see below) 150 g
  • Smoked Paprika 2 tsp
  • Oregano 2 tsp
  • Zest from 1 Lemon
  • Black Pepper, ground ½ tsp
  • Sea Salt ½ tsp
  • CHICKPEA BREADCRUMBS - optional
