How to keep gravy hot until serving the meal
Pre-warm the carafe or thermos with some hot water, then ladle your gravy, once it's hot and smooth, into a thermos or an insulated coffee carafe. If it works for your coffee, it'll work for the gravy—let it do its job, and when you get back to it, the gravy will still be warm and smooth, even if that's hours later.Nov 27, 2014
Yes, you will get pan drippings like the conventional method of roasting but you won't get as much. I think it tastes better and is more tender because the 'slow cooking' technique does not drive as much of the internal moisture out of the meat fibers.

**ALSO, see my 1/2 measure of this minestrone!!**
I am pretty much a lazy cooker so you can believe that this is not as difficult as it looks...by prepping the veggies the night before, it was a "piece of cake"! I would make 1/2 of this recipe if I were to use the slow cooker. The whole thing would be too big for one.
An easy slow cooker homemade minestrone soup so you can totally skip that stop to Olive Garden! Loaded with healthy vegetables like spinach and zucchini and protein packed with beans - hearty and comforting! Easy to make gluten free. I made it in a huge soup pot and it was great that way, too!!
It’s absolutely perfect for those days/nights when you have a bazillion things to get done. I love how awesome it is that the crock pot gets to take on most of the dinner responsibilities for the evening.

"These butter-soaked bourbon-glazed carrots are the greatest special-occasion carrot side dish of all time. Sweet, savory, and oh so glossy."
And yes, as unreasonable as it sounds, you do need bourbon to make bourbon-glazed carrots. What happens if you just make this recipe and use water instead of the whiskey? You get glazed carrots. Close, but no cigar. By the way, in related news, bourbon also pairs very well with cigars. Anyway, if you’re looking for a stellar, and very shiny vegetable side dish for your Easter celebration, I hope you give these bourbon-glazed carrots a try. Enjoy!
These are yeast rolls and will need rising time...check package before processing!!
I made these on 11/24/15 there were came out with 8 I put melted garlic butter and onion flakes on them, which was good.
I can always make these with stuff I already have in the kitchen, and they're really good. I made these on 11/24/15 and put onion flakes on top of the garlic butter...will write more when I taste.
A mixture of chicken, eggs, bread crumbs, sauteed onion, parsley and light seasoning make croquettes you'll go crazy for! My mother used to make salmon cakes; I adapted that recipe to use leftover cooked chicke
I made this on 2/9/15 and it tastes great!! I added the seasonings to taste & fried the mushrooms with Onions & Pepper. I sliced Mozzarella and sprinkled Parmesan on the top. It really didn't take much time once I got it done. I didn't have any ground meat so this was vegetarian
11-22-14 I made these...they mixed by hand and were done in 20 minutes. They disn't rise much, I think they could use almost a double recipe to make a large muffin. They were soft and held their shape nicely...I liked them and with some jelly they would really be good, but plain they're just not sweet.

I made this on 11/24/13 and 11/1/14. I used ALL broth instead of water. Rather than straining the liquid, I put it in the blender for a minute! It was excellent, even without salt.:
Picture this ….. it is Thanksgiving night. The table is set, the turkey is in the oven, side dishes are cooking, dessert is being chilled. Ding, Dong…the guests begin to arrive and what is the first thing they see….
BAM – A VEGGIE TURKEY TRAY!!
You know that "one" pillow, yeah the one that you can NOT sleep without? The one that looks like it came over on Noah's ark..Well its time to restore that thing!! Lets make it look brand new!
