Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef,
- ½ cup diced green bell pepper (2 oz, or ½ of a pepper)
- ½ cup diced onion
- 1 clove garlic minced or pressed
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 2 packets Splenda
- 1 tbsp Dijon or Mr. Mustard Mustard
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
Steps
- Gather ingredients. Chop green bell pepper and onion. Mince or press garlic.
- Place the ground beef in a medium frying pan and turn the heat to medium. Break meat up into tiny pieces as it cooks. This will take about 5 minutes.
- When the meat is almost cooked through, stir in all of the other ingredients, finishing with the water, last. Bring up to a simmer, turn down to medium low and simmer covered for about 15 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings.
- Serve on a salad
Notes
- I make these in a cast iron skillet but would be simple to do it in the IP. I would only put under pressure for 5 minutes and do a full release after 10 minutes.
- No salt or pepper added as each person may want different amounts and can add at the table
- Serves 6 at approximately ½ cup per serving.
- 3 net carbs per ½ cup
