Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 1 red pepper sliced
- 1 green pepper sliced
- 1 knob ginger julienned
- 2 green onions cut in 2 in lengths
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- See notes for variations for vegetables
Steps
- subheading: Marinade steak with:
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tsp rice wine
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- MEAT
- Sear & sauté beef 80 to 90%
- Transfer to a bowl & set aside
- VEGETABLES
- In 1Tbs oil in pot saute ginger. Add vegetables. Stir fry till tender about 3 mins.
- Add garlic & sauté 30 sec
- Push vegetables aside & add sauce.
- SAUCE
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbs dark soy
- 1 Tbs light soy
- 1 Tbs oyster sauce
- 1 Tbs rice wine
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 2 Tbs water
- Add beef & juices back to saucepan with vegetables. And 1½ tsp black pepper.
- Toss in green onions heat 30 secs
- Serve with rice or fried noodles.

- Vegetables substitute - Green beans, peapods, baby corn, vinegar, carrots.
