Asian Hamburger Steak (or burgers)
With the egg and pork panko, this is meatloaf texture....skip those for more of a burger.

Ingredients
  • subheading: Meat:
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • ¾ cup pork panko
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • subheading: Sauce:
  • ¼ cup sugar free ketchup
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp red wine
Steps
  1. Combine all of the meat ingredients in a large bowl, and mix well without over-mixing
  2. Form into 6 to 8 evenly sized patties.
  3. Place the patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through.
  4. Whisk together the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
  5. Drain extra grease from the pan, and pour sauce over the hamburger patties, and cook for another several minutes.
  6. Let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve them with your favorite steamed vegetables, a chopped salad, or a bowl of cauliflower rice. These can also be eaten as burgers with a bun, lettuce or chaffle.
