POT STICKERS OR GYOZA Page 63 of the 2019 Joy of Cooking book in the Kindle library
Ingredients
  • subheading: DIPPING SAUCE:
  • subheading: Mix together:
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1clove garlic, chopped
  • subheading: Add:
  • Slivers of green onion and fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon crushed chili peppers, optional
Steps
  1. subheading: POT STICKER INSTRUCTIONS:
  2. subheading: Pan-fry method:
  3. Place 2 teaspoons salad oil in a medium-hot pan.
  4. Place bottom of frozen potstickers in pan.
  5. When golden brown, add ¼ cup water.
  6. Cover and steam for 1½ minutes.
  7. subheading: Boil Method:
  8. Place frozen potstickers into boiling water for approximately two minutes.
  9. subheading: Deep-fry Method:
  10. Fry semi-defrosted pot potstickers in oil heated to 350° until golden brown.
Notes
  • There are more elaborate dipping sauce recipes (even on CMT) but I’m happy with this one.
