sauce/marinade: Dobie Dyer's Khalbi Marinade
use on beef ribs, pork, flank steak

Servings: 6+, enough for up to 5 lb. meat

Ingredients
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 1 c. soy sauce
  • 3 tbl. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 3 tbl garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions
  • ¼ c. gin
  • 1 red chili pepper
Steps
  1. Soak meat in marinade for 8 to 10 hours.
  2. Arrange ribs on rack or broiler pan. Broil 3 inches from broiler for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
  3. If short ribs are thick score them with a knife before marinating.
Notes
  • You can freeze in a zip lock bag until ready to use.
