Made in a 9 inch x 13 inch dish

Ingredients
  • 2.5 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped (about 3 cups)
  • 1 T. worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ Cup water
  • 16 oz. bag of frozen mixed vegetables, defrosted in the microwave
  • 2 cups prepared mashed potatoes, can go up to 3 cups
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook ground beef with onions until beef is no longer pink.  Drain if there is alot of grease.
  3. Add worcestershire sauce and water.
  4. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low.  Cook uncovered for ten minutes, adding more water, if needed.
  5. Add defrosted vegetables to the meat mixture.
  6. Spray 9" x 13" pan with nonstick spray and spread beef-onion-vegetable mixture in a even layer in pan.  Spread mashed potatoes on top of beef mixture.  Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake until browned and bubbly, about 30 minutes.
Notes
  • 19Apr2020-  This sure looked and smelled good.  I made homemade mashed potatoes.
