Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini
Ingredients
  • 8 oz. spaghetti, broken in half
  • 4 oz. can sliced or pieces mushrooms (or fresh) 4 T. butter
  • 3 T. chopped onion
  • ½ t. celery salt
  • dash of pepper
  • ¼ t. marjoram
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1 can (1 ⅔ c.) evaporated milk
  • 2 T. chopped pimento
  • 2 c. cubed cooked chicken or turkey
  • ½ c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Steps
  1. Cook spaghetti til tender. Drain; rinse in hot water.
  2. Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid.
  3. In saucepan, melt butter; saute onion.
  4. Add seasonings & mushroom liquid. Blend in soup. Stir til smooth.
  5. Gradually add evaporated milk, stirring til smooth & thick.
  6. In 9x13"casserole, mix turkey or chicken, mushrooms, pimento & spaghetti.
  7. Pour sauce over; mix well.
  8. Top with cheese.
  9. Bake at 350 for 30 min.
  10. If refrigerating to bake later, bake for 45 to 60 min.
