Black Pepper Salmon with Avocado Salad

  • 4 (4 to 5 ounce) salmon fillets (wild salmon preferred), skin-on
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 medium avocado, peeled, pitted and chopped
  • ⅔ cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cup coarsely chopped parsley
  • ½ tablespoon lemon or lime juice (about ½ a lime)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
