Gluten Free Red Velvet Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1c sugar
  • 1t vanilla
  • ¼c cocoa powder, sifted
  • pinch salt
  • 1T red food dye
  • 1t vinegar
  • 2eggs
  • ¾c GF flour or regular flour
  • note: CC SWIRL
  • 8oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼c sugar
  • 1 egg
Steps
  1. cream butter and sugar, add cocoa, salt, dye, vinegar, vanilla
  2. beat eggs into batter one at a time, fold in flour until just mixed.
  3. combine cream cheese sugar and egg for topping swirl.
  4. fill 8x8 parchment winged pan with ⅔ of red velvet batter. spread cream cheese over, dollop remaining red velvet batter over and swirl with butter knife
  5. bake 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. cool completely before cutting
Notes
  • 1t or 1T vinegar? good with cream cheese frosting instead of swirl also. works well with dry dye
