Ingredients
  • 1 can cinnamon roll dough with icing
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 granny smith apple, diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • optional: vanilla ice cream
Steps
  1. Open the cinnamon roll dough and cut into 3 even strips.
  2. Then, cut the strips in 3 pieces. You should have 9 pieces total.
  3. Set the icing aside.
  4. Combine eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl;  stir until smooth.
  5. Heat butter, apples & brown sugar in pan over medium heat until sugar starts to caramelize.
  6. This takes about 10 minutes. Once the sugar is caramelized, remove from heat.
  7. Place the cinnamon roll dough pieces in a 7" pan.
  8. Pour egg mixture on top;  then the apples.
  9. Drizzle icing on top (optional).
  10. Add trivet & 1 cup of water to Instant Pot.
  11. Lower pan into pot using a foil sling.
  12. Cook on Manual/High for 15 minutes;
  13. 15 minute Natural Pressure Release.
  14. Cut & serve with ice cream (optional)
