Pepperoni Seitan - Vegan
Ingredients
  • WET INGREDIENTS
  • 1 Apple
  • ½ cup heaping rice
  • 1 tblsp smoked BBQ sauce
  • 1 tblsp paprika
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tblsp V-worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp yellow mustard
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 4 tblsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Agar powder
  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 1½ tsp Vital Wheat Gluten
  • ½ tblsp garlic salt
  • 1 tblsp chilli flakes
  • ⅛ cup flour
  • 1 tblsp Tamari
  • 1 tblsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp white pepper corn
  • 3 tblsp Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup water
Steps
  1. Add wet ingredients & blend into a paste
  2. Add dry ingredients & mix & add 'wet ingredients' sauce & mix (knead) for 10 minutes
  3. Divide & roll into sausages & wrap tightly with oiled parchment & 2nd wrap tightly with aluminium foil
  4. Place wrapped sausages into pressure cooker & steam 30 minutes
