Apple-Cheddar Strudel Is the Perfect Baking Project to Tackle This Fall
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ to 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • ⅓ cup warm water (110°F to 115°F)
  • 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 4 cups chopped, peeled cooking apples
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese ( 6 oz)
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage or 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • ⅓ cup finely chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
