Homemade Seitan Deli Meat Slices
Ingredients
  • ½ block (~7oz/200g) firm tofu
  • ½ cup (40g) sun dried tomatoes, coarsely chopped if not using a high speed blender
  • 1 ½ cups (355g) vegetable broth (chick'n style if available)
  • 2 tbsp (21g) oil
  • 2 tbsp (30g) lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp (15g) soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dried rosemary
  • 2 cups (275g) vital wheat gluten
  • ¼ cup (25g) chickpea flour
  • 2 tbsp (18g) corn starch
