Servings: 12

Servings: 12
Ingredients
  • 1 pack rapid rise yeast
  • 1¼ cup warm water
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 3¾ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded DIVIDED mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
Steps
  1. Mix sugar, warm water, butter, and yeast together to activate yeast.
  2. While yeast activates, put 2¾ cup of flour, 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, and all of the pepperoni into a large bowl, then slowly combine the yeast mix in.
  3. Add remaining cup of flour until dough has an an elastic and stiff consistency (depending on climate more or less of final cup may be needed).
  4. Rest for 15 minutes, then place into a greased casserole dish or bread pan and let rise until doubled in size (about 30 to 45 minutes).
  5. Preheat oven to 375° F (190.5° C) and bake for 35 minutes or until done. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  6. Let cool and serve with warmed marinara sauce.
Notes
  • It's meant to mimic pizza, so feel free to swap "toppings", just remember moist toppings will require more flour and too many toppings can cause the bread to not bind correctly. You can also use premade pizza dough to expedite the process.
