Hashbrown Casserole

Ingredients
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bag frozen hash browns (cubed or shredded)
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken
  • 4 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups (approx) crushed corn flakes or other cereal or crackers
  • ½ stick butter (more if necessary)
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Sauté onion in butter
  3. Combine frozen hashbrowns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, & shredded cheese.
  4. Pour and level mixture into ungreased 9x13 casserole dish
  5. Melt butter
  6. Add butter to cornflakes (or crackers)
  7. Spread topping onto Casserole
  8. Bake 30 minutes or until cheese bubbles
