  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • Lo mein
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ medium onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ small cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, julienned
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • 3 stalks green onions, chopped, whites and green parts separated
  • 8 ounces cooked lo mein noodles
  • Optional: sesame oil, for topping
