  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3 sprigs parsley or ½ tsp. dry parsley
  • ¼ tsp. thyme
  • 2 tb. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 large onion
  • ⅛ tsp. cayenne
  • 1-½ cup oil
  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
