Gluten-Free Texas Sheet Cake
Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (2 sticks, 8 oz.) butter
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup ( 30 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder (regular, NOT Dutch-processed)
  • OPTIONAL: 1 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped
  • subheading: For The Chocolate Icing:
  • ½ cup (1 stick, 4 oz.) butter
  • ⅓ cup milk or cream
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (regular NOT Dutch-processed)
  • 3 ½ to 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted (measure first, then sift)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
