Easy Lemon Syrup Cake

  • ¾ cup caster sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla vanilla bean paste or essence
  • ½ cup water
  • subheading: For the lemon glaze:
  • 1 ½ cups icing sugar confectioners sugar
  • lemon juice to desired thickness around 3 to 5 tbsp
