Cinnamon Scones from Julie MacManus
Ingredients
  • 2 C plain flour (8½ ounces by weight)
  • ⅓ C sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 T baking powder
  • ¾ cup cinnamon chips
  • 1 ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Baking sheet, coated with butter
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 425°
  2. Butter round baking sheet
  3. Mix dry ingredients, add cinnamon chips and heavy cream
  4. Pat out dough ½ to 1 inch thick on buttered baking sheet, pre-cut into wedges, and separate slightly
  5. Brush with heavy cream
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes
