  • 1 1⁄2 tablespoons beef base or 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup dried spaetzle noodles (German noodles) or 1 cup noodles
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
