  • 1 (lb) loaf French bread
  • 8 tablespoons salted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Italian flat leaf parsley, (you can substitute 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, (if not using salted butter, add more salt to taste - about ¼ teaspoon)
