Lemon Buttermilk Cake
Ingredients
  • 3 Cups Sifted All Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Buttermilk
  • 2 to 3 Large Lemons Zest  Finely Grated
  •  
  • GLAZE
  • 3 Tbs Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • ⅓ Cups Confectionery Sugar
Steps
  1. Heat oven to 350* Butter a 9 x 3  ½ in tube pan.
  2. Sift together the Flour, Baking Soda and Salt
  3. Set aside
  4. Beat the butter in large bowl. add sugar
  5. Beat until mixed well
  6. Add Eggs one at a time on low speed
  7. add sifted ingredients .
  8. Add Buttermilk alternating with flour
  9. Remove from mixer and stir in Lemon Zest and juice
  10. Pour into the perpared pan smooth top
  11. Bake for 1hr 15 min.
  12. GLAZE
  13. Mix Lemon juice and Confectionery  Sugar in bowl
  14. After cake is done brush glaze over top and side of cake
