Easy Curried Yellow Dal (Yellow Split Peas)
Ingredients
  • 1 cup dry yellow split peas
  • 1 tablespoon garlic infused oil
  • 1 ⁄2 medium onion , chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves , finely minced (skip when low fodmap)
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon fresh gingerroot, finely minced
  • 2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon garam masala (optional)
  • 1 ⁄2 cup fresh cilantro , chopped for garnish (optional)
