Peach Ice Cream Recipe (With Fresh or Frozen Peaches)

Ingredients

  • 1 medium lemon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 vanilla bean, or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
