Burgundy Beef Stew

Ingredients
  • 2.5 lbs beef stew meat
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 21 oz beef broth
  • 1 cup burgundy or dry red wine
  • 9oz fresh or frozen green beans
  • ½ Lb mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 carrots shredded
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp water
  •  
  • subheading: Marinade:
  • 1 cup burgundy or dry red wine
  • 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ Tsp allspice
Steps
  1. Marinate beef for at least 8 hours
  2. Brown beef in oil in skillet.
  3. In large pot bring marinade to boil. Add vegetables. Cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Make flour and water slurry and add to pot. Add meat.
