Ingredients

  • ¾ cup ( 150g) packed light or dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup ( 50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups ( 250g) all-purpose flour ( spooned & leveled)
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 and ½ cups ( 270g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 48 unwrapped miniature peanut butter cups (or 2 cups chopped peanut butter cups)
  • Brownie Layer
  • ½ cup ( 8 Tbsp; 113g) unsalted butter
  • two 4 ounce ( 226g) semi-sweet chocolate bars, coarsely chopped*
  • 1 cup ( 200g) granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ( 63g) all-purpose flour ( spooned & leveled)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
