Easy Knafeh/Kunafa (Middle Eastern Sweet Cheese Dessert)
Ingredients
  • 14.1 oz kunafa dough kataifi dough or semolina flour
  • 8.8 oz mozzarella cheese if using nabulsi/akkawi - make sure to soak overnight to de-salt the cheese
  • 5.3 oz ghee or unsalted butter melted
  • 4.2 fl oz sugar syrup ½ cup, or more to taste; 2:1 ratio of sugar to water
  • handful pistachios ground, optional for topping
