Ingredients
- ¼ c red color
- 2½ T nestles quick
- ½ c crisco
- 1½ c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1t soda
- ½ t salt
- 2½ c flour
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 T vinegar
- 1t vanilla
Steps
- Mix together nestles chocolate powder and food color. Set aside.
- Cream: crisco, sugar, eggs. Add color mix. Sift together soda, salt, flour. Add alternately with buttermilk, vinegar, vanilla mixture.
- Pour into cake pan. Bake 350* for about 35 minutes.
