Devil foods bundat pan
Ingredients
  • Devil's Food Cake
  • subheading: Ingredients:
  • 2 cups cake flour (I use plain flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup hot coffee (I use nescafe ½ tsp + water)
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk (I use vinegar 1 tbsp + full cream milk)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Steps

  2. Preheat oven to 165°
  3. In a large bowl whisk together dry ingredients.
  4. Add coffee, oil and buttermilk and mix until combined.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla and mix for another 2 minutes.
  6. Pour batter into two greased and floured 9-inch round baking pans.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Let cool in pans until warm and then remove from pans and allow to cool completely on a cooling rack.
  9. For Ganache
  10. subheading: Ingredients:
  11. 200g Dark Chocolate Compound  (melted,1 min in microwave)
  12. 1 (170g) can of Nestlé cream (or any other brand)

  14. Whisk these two together and let it stand in room temp for 1 hour. Or in the fridge while the cake is baking (stirring every 15 mins).
  15. Spread over cake... or pipe to your heart's content. Then stare and marvel at how the ganache designs stays and doesn't melt for hours and hours.

  • Important note:
  • *Don't forget to lick the remaining ganache until bowl is spotless.... soooo goood!
