- In response to TOG beef pho recipe - The spices used for pho ga is the same. However, I don't use cardamom pods, fennel seeds, or fructus amomi (don't know what this is to be honest). I use cumin seeds in place of fennel for the chicken pho. All the steps are the same just less cooking time for chicken.
