(Crack)er Candy
Shelly Scott’s Cracker Candy - A simple desert that tastes similar to a Heath candy bar.
Ingredients
  • 2 sticks of butter.
  • 1 cup of brown sugar.
  • 1 sleeve of saltine crackers.
  • 1 small bag of chocolate chips.
  • Nuts of your choice (pecans are ideal).
Steps
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°.
  2. Either spray a cookie pan with non-stick spray or use non-stick aluminum foil.
  3. Put crackers on cookie pan in rows covering pan.
  4. Melt butter with brown sugar and bring to boil for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  5. Pour butter / brown sugar mix over crackers and spread evenly.
  6. Bake in oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips to your liking (you do not need to use the whole bag). Cover.
  8. Spread chocolate chips evenly and add nuts.
  9. Cover again and place in freezer for 30 to 60 minutes.
  10. Take out and break apart.
