Chicken and Dumplings.. from Frozen Chicken..Ip. Includes Flat and Drop Dumplings Ip. Also, Instructions for the Slow Cook Cycle, 4 Hr On Hi/Normal
Ingredients
  • For the Soup.
  • keep in mind that you may add more spices at the end when the chicken is done before the dumplings go in.
  • 1 block of 4 frozen Chicken Thighs. 2 ½ to 3 lbs. (If using fresh see note towards the bottom. Use boneless skinless thighs if desired).
  • 1 Onion chopped (1 ½ to 2 c)
  • 2 Celery Stalks chopped (1 to 1 ½ c).
  • 2 Carrots chopped (1 ½ to 2 c).
  • ¾ tsp Italian Seasoning (if you like seasoning add the latter).
  • ½ tsp Pepper.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups water. OR Chicken Broth… (more if you plan on doubling the dumplings recipe)
  • 2 Tbsp Costco’s Better than Bullion Chicken.
  • ¾ tsp of Mrs Dash Onion and herb Seasoning. (Or up the italian seasoning to 1 tsp and ¼ tsp Johnnies and ¼ Tony Chachere’s Creole, ¼ tsp garlicpowder)
