  • ¾ cup canola oil or light olive oil

  • ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 ½ cups fresh cranberries divided
  • ⅓ to ½ cup sliced almonds for sprinkling on top optional
