2 pounds mushrooms, trimmed and sliced*, I used cremini mushrooms.

4 Tbsp salted butter

1 yellow onion, peeled and finely chopped

1 Tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika

⅓ cup dry sherry or dry white wine

4 cups chicken broth, you can also use vegetable or mushroom broth.

1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 Tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp salt

1 ½ cups half and half

2 Tbsp cornstarch

1 cup sour cream

handful of fresh dill, snipped
