Bernadette's Sausage Gravy

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. hot pork sausage,
  • 2 Tbs. finely chopped onion
  • 6 Tbs. flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • ½ tsp. poultry seasoning
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • Dash hot sauce
Steps
  1. Crumble sausage into large saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Add onion and cook until transparent. Stir in flour over medium heat for 6 minutes, or until mixture is golden. Slowly whisk in milk, add seasonings and stir until thickened.
