( Instant Pot ) Pot in Pot White Rice by Rich Lum

Cooked pip in a 6qt IP on HP using a 7x3” Cake Pan
Ingredients
  • 2 cups of White Rice
  • 2 cups water
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
Steps
  1. Add the rice to your cake pan and rinse until the water is clear
  2. Pour in your water and add the salt
  3. Add 1 cup of water to your IP and place your trivet in
  4. Put your cake pan on top of the trivet
  5. Close and seal your lid
  6. Set your pot to manual 12 minutes and allow a 10 minute npr
Notes
  • The 7x3” cake pan hold 3 cups of rice..... For more rice I use the 3 qt IP pot inside of my 6 qt pot......
  • Advantages..
  • You can cook as little as a half cup of rice
  • You can leave it on keep warm for about an hour
  • It never sticks to the bottom of your pot
  • Easy clean up
  • White Rice...1:1 ratio
  • I use a 3” trivet and kitchen gloves to make it easier to remove the rice pan
