Spicy tomato sauce

700 g bottled passata

410 g canned crushed tomatoes

1 medium brown onion (150g), chopped finely

45 g canned anchovies, drained

¼ tsp dried chilli flakes

3 cloves garlic, sliced thinly

1 cup (250ml) chicken stock

2 cups (500ml) water

⅓ cup fresh oregano leaves, torn

Meatballs

600 g minced lamb

1 cup (70g) stale breadcrumbs

2 tbsp pine nuts, chopped coarsely

1 tbsp finely grated lemon grind

¼ cup (40g) sultanas, chopped coarsely

¼ (20g) finely grated pamesan

⅓ cup loosely packed small fresh basil leaves
