Sheetpan Macaroni and Cheese Squares
Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni rotini, or other small pasta shape
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cabot sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cabot Pepper Jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 strips crisp cooked bacon crumbled (optional)
