Ingredients
  • 2 cups plus 1 tsp (225g) self-rising flour (See note)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dry mustard powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 TBS cold butter
  • 1 ¼ cup (150g) grated mature cheddar cheese
  • 1 large free-range egg
  • milk to the equivalent of 5 fluid ounces (¼ pint)
